If it seems like all I’ve been talking about the last few weeks is vocabulary - it’s because creating this resource has literally consumed my life. 😂 But I finished unit one so at least I have something to show for it AND I know it’s going to save me a crazy amount of time this school year.

This is the most I’ve gotten from the dollar spot in a few years but everything has a purpose—promise! Here’s what I got and how I’m using it:

Calendar-this is the one thing I’ve consistently gotten from the dollar spot the last several years! I use this as my classroom calendar so that all I have to do at the end of each month is rip that page off 😂 I also go through and add student birthdays and other events at the beginning of the year so it is literally so easy! I will never go back to a dry erase calendar 🤷🏼‍♀️

Name tags-I’m *thinking* I want to laminate these and use them for matching vocabulary terms to definitions, math problems to the answer, etc. but I’m open to other fun ways to use them as well if you have any!

Bins-I’ve used some dingy red bins for supplies all my years of teaching and they’ve worked absolutely fine, but I decided to upgrade this year 🙆🏼‍♀️

Borders-I wasn’t planning on redoing any bulletin boards buuuut I know they’ve been spraying down and sanitizing rooms all summer so I grabbed these cuties just in case I need to redo some!

Each card has a “get to know you” task or question for students to answer by building and creating! I included both a google slides version for google classroom, and a @boomlearning version. Both have moveable building blocks for students to create their masterpieces!

Half of us will be learning to teach virtually to start the school year, and the other half will be learning to teach in a classroom during a pandemic.
